Large Volume Grinding – our own unique service!

Large volume grinding is relatively unknown on the market, the reason for this is that it is a new service created by HasselHolm and performed with machines which we have developed. In practice, we grind stumps; these become wood chips which can be mixed into the topsoil as compost. This service can be used on single stumps or on thousands, for example, when an area is being prepared for development. Another advantage of volume grinding is that there is a much lower risk for settling, which can be a problem when stumps are dug up and the hole is filled in later.

We developed this service in answer to increased market demand caused by increasing costs for disposing of stumps at landfills. Land-fill charges can be substantial expenditures when clearing large plots of land; volume grinding allows you to avoid that expense entirely. Additionally, volume grinding only requires one machine instead of the many machines required for conventional methods. Grinding saves a lot of time and work so the real contracting tasks can be started much sooner

It’s like we say, “You can’t dig stumps away.” You can dig them up, but there is still a lot of work to be done that takes time: digging, loading, and transportation to a land-fill.

Large volume grinding can be performed in a wide range of environments; don’t hesitate to contact us for more information about this cost-effective new service!

Save Money and the EnvironmentIn addition to saving money on excavators, dumpsters, transportation and land-fill costs, stump grinding offers benefits for the environment as well. This method helps the stump to return to nature as mulch more quickly, and remaining woodchips can be used in flower beds to keep weeds away.
